Andy Champ

Andy currently lifts with British Powerlifting. He was a member of the British Powerlifting Full Power, and Bench only Team from 2018. He has represented Great Britain internationally 10 times. Andy placd in severel international championships with British Powerlifting.
Now competing in the ABPU and WEPF he holds several British, European and World records.
Nikki (The Wife) Champ

Nikki is a reletive new comer to Powerlifting. She has taken to it like a duck to water. In only her third ever competition she won her class at the British Championships in 2022. Later that year she was selected to represented Great Britian at the European Masters Championships and went on to win the Silver medal.
Nikki has since gone on to represent GB in 2023 and 2024 in placing top three in all international events.
In 2025 she won the world M1 Equipped Bench Champs in Norway.
Mike Mancz

Mike is a former Strongman turned Powerlifter. Mike lifts with the British Powerlifting Union. Posting a very respectable total in his first competition he qualified for the British Championships, and has also been selected to compete at the European Championships. Mike subsequently went on to win his class at the Europien Cup. Mike has the prettiest squat at the Strength Academy and we anticipate big things to come.
Rhys Charlesworth

Rhys is a Bench specialest who lift with the BDFPA. Rhys is a multiple Bench only and Full Power British champion. He holds several WDFPF world Bench records in two weight catagories.
Dave Samworth

Dave did not start competing untill he was in his late 40's. He is an absolute credit to himself and a role model to others. He never misses a session and is always the first one in the door. In 2022, all of Dave's hard work was rewarded when he was selected to represent England at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships.
Neil Thomas

Neil is a Bench Press specialist lifting with the British Drug Free Powerlifting Association. Like a fine wine, he is getting better with age! Neil already holds several national and international title's and we expect to see him to add to that list in the coming months and years.
Julian Collins

Julian is our residant instigator. As much as he likes to play the fool, on game day he is a very different man. Julian lifts with the A/BPU and is the curent u110 Single Ply British Champion. He is the current A/BPU National Bench Press record holder.
Joe Spring

Joe is the youngest of out Elite Athletes. After only being part of the academy for a short time we worked hard to get Joe qualified for the British Bench Championships. not only did he qualify, but went on to become the British Junior Equipped Bench Championship. He was subsiquently selected, and went on, to represent Great Britain at the 2023 European Junior Bench Press Championships.
